Lately we have been enduring a lot of concerns with our property temperature control & temperature control methods.

I should be clear, the greatest problem is our extremely drafty house & accorporationing aged heater, but during the summers our little place stays nice & cool, & we have consistently fresh & high quality indoor air whenever the AC is running.

My associate and I can happily get through the 8 months of hot weather that settles into the area because there is respected ventilation to keep us happy & healthy. In the winter, however, our property easily fails to meet expectations. There is frigid air coming from all the doors & windows, & our old heating system provides uneven uneven temperatures & wild swings. This year we’ve been relying heavily on our wood burning fireplace to compensate for the exhausting heater, especially at evening when the air temperature has been dipping into the 20s. So far this method has successfully saved us from having to call out a professional Heating, Ventilation, & A/C professional to inspect the heating system & charge us thousands of dollars for an replaced central heating unit, but there was one unforeseen hiccup in this plan. My associate and I never considered that my step kid would be spending Christmas with us. My associate and I didn’t feel about the fact that he is currently heavily invested in the myth of Santa Clause. No one considered that he would be upset if a fire was roaring in the fireplace on Christma Eve. None of the adults was quite as anxious about Santa burning his old butt on the flames on the way down, and long story short, after an outburst of hysterical cries, we had quite a chilly Christmas Eve & easily cranked the heat on Christmas afternoon.

Periodically I wonder about people… Namely, I wonder if my teenager is out of his damn mind, because he sure doesn’t know how to act appropriately.

It’s as if he has no concept of consequences, & just assumes he can go through the world acting like an ass if he so chooses.

Well, that’s not how it works out on planet Earth, & it definitely isn’t how things are going to be run in my own household, I can tell you that. This little snot decided that he was immune to helping out with house chores last week, for example. When I lectured him on house responsibilities he ran off & locked his door. I let him sulk & figured I would deal with his exhausting attitude the next afternoon. When I woke up the next afternoon, however, I found that the house was startlingly cold… Rather than worrying about my son, I had to deal with the temperature control. I went down the hallway & tested the temperature control device, expecting that the ambient temperature had been changed on accident. Instead, I found that the smart temperature control device couldn’t affix to the central heating device. The touch screen monitor indicated that there was a power outage on the end of the heater, & I was completely puzzled over the heating device. I figured that before calling a ventilation professional I would go inspect the power source myself & located the power box out in the garage. I was surprised to find the heating system switch was flipped off… How could only the heating system be affected by a power outage? That’s when I realized my kid was already out of the house & put two & two together. That little shit, obviously he was still so hot headed in the afternoon that he attempted to freeze me out.

It entirely is a shame to watch someone struggle and feel powerless to help their situation.

I don’t know if there’s anything more heart wrenching on earth than seeing another person suffer without any useful suggestions for resolution.

It makes you feel small and useless, like you don’t matter at all. That is exactly how I’ve been feeling for about six months now, seeing my buddy and designated Heating, Ventilation plus A/C expert struggling to keep his heating and cooling corporation above ground. You see, since moving into village over 15 years ago, I struck up a fast friendship with our closest buddy the first time that our AC component failed. I called the local Heating, Ventilation plus A/C dealership, and when the ventilation expert arrived, I was surprised to be introduced as his neighbor. He patched up our cooling system in a jif, and left without accepting any payment. Since that afternoon, I have been his loyal client and closest confidante in town. He tells me everything, including his perilous corporation standing as he tries to compete with the newest Heating, Ventilation plus A/C shop in town. See, these young guys rolled into our quiet village about a year ago, and started trying to shake up the ventilation industry. They began offering ridiculous deals on new heating and cooling equipment, reduced Heating, Ventilation plus A/C maintenance plans, and free equipment upgrades in order to drum up business. Well, it began working. My buddy has lost over half of his official heating and cooling clients, and he doesn’t know what to do. Short of giving away free supplies and services to receive back clients, he’s feeling doomed to go bankrupt. That’s why I absolutely can’t tell him about my brand new dehumidifying system and maintenance plan, with free upgrade.

Not until they realized mom wasn’t home to make temperature adjustments

I’m at my cutting point, and I’m starting to freak myself out these afternoons. Everything is so overwhelming that I can’t even breath. I have trouble seeing straight or making straight-forward decisions on a monthly basis. I’m exhausted, and I’m typically prepared to split down and cry at a moment’s notice. Yes, I am talking about stress. I feel so out of control of my whole life these afternoons, I don’t know how much more I can take. It’s not entirely fair how several things I have on my plate, especially when I have a family that theoretically could help me to accomplish some of my home tasks. For instance, maybe someone could bring their dishes to the sink on a respected basis, let alone scrub a glass. Perhaps another party could feed or walk the pet. It might be possible for somebody to disinfect out the fridge once in a while, and or, you know, maybe they could just try to make a cellphone call for themselves when the freaking Heating, Ventilation plus A/C system breaks down. Apparently, they would rather realize that the house is feeling hot and stuffy, and do nothing about it for hours! Sweating their butts off, no one even bothered to touch the thermostat for 5 hours. Not until they realized mom wasn’t home to make temperature adjustments. When they finally examined the temperature control panel, they figured out that the AC component was offline. One might feel that they would contact a cooling specialist at that time, or maybe they would call up one of their parents for Heating, Ventilation plus A/C advice… however obviously they adore to kneel outside for fresh, relatively cooler air all afternoon long, waiting for help to arrive from a 12 hour shift before even mentioning the burning hot air waiting inside our home.

What is your biggest fear in life? Flying? Being murdered? Spiders? Well, those would be some pretty usual ones, anyways, but personally, my biggest phobia is aging.

• There are so several aspects that frighten the crap out of me.

I don’t want to get gray and wrinkly, or to see my skin get all papery and thin. I don’t want to watch people dying around me from freak medical incidents. I also don’t want to wind up alone and forgotten. I feel it’s been all of these ideas floating around in my head that recently inspired me to quit my task, leave my family, and start a new life. I feel it’s for the best. For 25 years, I’ve working in the financial industry, however not anymore, however my new plan is a little cooler. I’m going to school to become a central cooling and AC specialist in my brand new city! I made the decision as I was driving away from my old home, several states away at this point, and passed by a big billboard tauting a brand new Heating, Ventilation plus A/C certification program; Well, I figured that was as good a site as any to establish my new roots, and I pulled over the car. I rented an apartment, and enrolled in the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C trades school the absolutely next afternoon. It will be an 18 month program, at which point I’ll test for my heating and cooling corporation level I certification. Then I should be charming as a ventilation intern at one of the local Heating, Ventilation plus A/C shops, if nothing else. I’m happy for this new life I’ve created, and I can’t wait to get started on all my heating and cooling equipment coursework.
