Dog is baffling – seeking heat

I will admit, I’m one of those aggravating people who can’t stop thinking or talking about my cat.

I am completely obsessed with the little guy, because no one is more loving, trustworthy, or loyal than him in my entire life.

I care about my seasoned buddy & I only want the best for him in every way. That’s why I took notice of his weird behavior last month & was immediately anxious that there was a extreme problem. It began in the brisk fall days, when I would wake up & find that he wasn’t sitting at the end of our bed like usual. Rather than sitting in his warm, soft bed, I would find him on the cold, taxing floor in the or sprawled out on the freezing tiled bathroom floor, then he appeared to be quite content, however acted a bit guilty when I caught him lounging in these weird locations. It only continued throughout kitchen the week, & I was having to go searching for my cat in the home everyday after that. I truthfully could not figure out what was going on with him. I was just about to bring him to the emergency vet when I happened to stand down on the floor next to him one day & realized what the warm issue was… the heat. My seasoned cat wasn’t acting irrationally, in fact, he was intelligently seeking out heat sources throughout the house. All of his modern number one spots were conveniently located next to air vents, & my wiley cat was soaking up every ounce of warm air from the boiler that he could find. These afternoons I’m less sad about him, afterall, I obtained several space boilers so he can always lay comfortably in his number one locations.

It began in the brisk fall mornings, when I would wake up & find that he wasn’t sitting at the end of our bed like usual. Rather than sitting in his warm, soft bed, I would find him on the cold, strenuous floor in the or sprawled out on the chilly tiled bathroom floor. He appeared to be quite pleased, but acted a bit guilty when I caught him lounging in these weird locations. Awesome rental car, except for heat

Yesterday I had quite an annoying string of events thrown my way, as usual, my associate and I were just wrapping up “no stress September” as the universe threw us a few curveballs to kickbeginning December, including my car chopping down separate from warning, then i was on a little road trip to visit my best buddy when the Check Engine light came on and the car stopped responding to the accelerator pedal, however of course, I was not gratified to have this travel complication.

My annoyance only increased when I attempted to drive to work and found that the car was completely dysfunctional a few nights later! At that point, I finally pulled out my kindle and started looking for rental cars. I rented an economy model, however wound up getting a sweet update to something extravagant at the facility! The car was a lot of fun to drive, actually… except for one problem. The car did not come equipped with working heat inside. As I drove property I desperately punched at the thermostat controls, thinking that I was just pushing the wrong control buttons. I sat in the driveway and fiddled with all of the temperature increase dials, the air flow speed, and the direction of air venting… however, nothing improved the indoor air temperature. I tried to swap it out with another car, however the dealership was steadfast that their thermostat must have worked, then for the next week I lived separate from any sort of heat during my commute to and from work, and of course the air temperature dipped lower and lower each afternoon, by the time my car was finally fixed and ready to be picked up from the shop, I was so sick of the dysfunctional thermostat in the rental vehicle. I swore I never wanted to drive another automobile again.

Nagging husband like mother

You know what is definitively un-sexy? Feeling like your significant other’s parent.

  • Ugh.

Instead of feeling like an equal partner with a mutual understanding of how adult life works, I often feel like I run the show around here for both of us. Rather than putting on lacy underwear to thrill him, I’m picking his piles of dirty boxers up off the bathroom floor. Instead of having candlelit dinners, I’m scraping the burnt messes that he leaves behind off our cookware. Rather than reminding him of our fun couples activity later than night, I’m chasing him out the door to hand him office keys and his wallet. It’s too much. Don’t even get me started on household chores, because he only has one, and he doesn’t do it. That single chore is to take care of the HVAC system for our home. All he’s supposed to do is to change the air filter every two months and schedule two routine HVAC inspections from a professional ventilation expert each year. I also asked that he would keep an eye on the monthly energy expenditure, and assist me with programming the smart thermostat to optimize our energy usage. Now, instead of being less stressed out because he’s lending a helping hand with the temperature control plan, I’m more frustrated than ever about nagging him to get it done. Every day I send him a text message about the completely clogged air filter in the AC. Once a week I ask if the HVAC dealership is coming to clean our air ducts. Once a month, I put the energy bill on his desk with my notes about our utility bills and thermostat program. I feel like an overbearing mother, but I can’t stop! I mean, basic heating and cooling maintenance definitely doesn’t sound like rocket science to me.

Old dealer struggles to keep up with competition – free AC

It really is a shame to watch someone struggle and feel powerless to help their situation.

I don’t know if there’s anything more heart wrenching on earth than seeing another person suffer without any useful suggestions for resolution.

It makes you feel small and useless, like you don’t matter at all. That is exactly how I’ve been feeling for about six months now, watching my neighbor and designated HVAC expert struggling to keep his heating and cooling business above ground. You see, since moving into town over 15 years ago, I struck up a fast friendship with our closest neighbor the first time that our AC unit failed. I called the local HVAC dealership, and when the ventilation expert arrived, I was surprised to be introduced as his neighbor. He patched up our cooling system in a jif, and left without accepting any payment. Since that day, I have been his loyal customer and closest confidante in town. He tells me everything, including his perilous business standing as he tries to compete with the newest HVAC shop in town. See, these young guys rolled into our quiet village about a year ago, and started trying to shake up the ventilation industry. They began offering ridiculous deals on new heating and cooling equipment, reduced HVAC maintenance plans, and free equipment installations in order to drum up business. Well, it began working. My buddy has lost over half of his usual heating and cooling customers, and he doesn’t know what to do. Short of giving away free supplies and services to earn back customers, he’s feeling doomed to go bankrupt. That’s why I definitely can’t tell him about my brand new dehumidifying system and maintenance plan, with free installation.
