There was a single thing I could never figure out about Christmas stories. When they have Elves in the picture, why are their ears pointy? Unless they were aliens dropped off from another planet, or the weather conditions forced their ears to freeze pointed, there was no reason for them to have them. I looked up the reason for elves to have pointy ears, and one of the greatest reason is because they can hear better. They can listen in on children’s dreams and hear what they want for Christmas. They are also the reason Santa never needs to go without heat. They can hear when there is the beginning of a complication with the oil furnace, and they tell Santa. He’ll call the factory Heating and Air Conditioning professionals and have them repair the oil furnace before it becomes a bigger problem. I also read that their ears are a distinguishing trait for elves. Santa is able to look at their ears and suppose who they are and what department they belong in. If Santa sees an Heating and Air Conditioning professional elf, she knows there is something wrong with the oil furnace, and makes sure it is being dealt with. She can send them to the reindeer shed, or even to the garage where they house the sleigh. She never needs to go without Heating and Air Conditioning in her sleigh as long as she knows where the Heating and Air Conditioning elves are. I would enjoy being an Heating and Air Conditioning professional at Santa’s workshop. There would never be a boring moment, and you could eat cookies all the time. I’m not sure I would love the pointy ears, despite the fact that I could used to better hearing.
