Having air conditioning is one way to remain comfortable

It gets so gloomy and uncomfortable during winter.

I’ve had my fill of people from the south talking about the warm weather.

The thing about warm weather is that it gets uncomfortable, but rarely deadly. When the heat gets to be over 95 degrees, that can lead to heat stroke. However, those kinds of temps don’t happen often. Where I live we don’t get much warm weather, however the cold can be a killer. That isn’t a joke, but an accurate description. The temps around here get so low that you need a heating system or you might not surviving. Having an air conditioner is the way to make yourself more comfortable. But, heating is something that can keep you alive. Most folks in this region don’t even bother owning an air conditioner, because they never use it. Instead, they prefer investing in a reliable source of heating, not just for their home and their family, but also for their livestock. Other than farmers and ranchers, people never think about the heating needs of pets. When you rear cows, pigs, and chickens like we do around here, you must make sure they have a safe level of heating through the brutal Winter. Regular heating systems won’t work in these situations because they are a fire hazard. There are special kinds of heating units used in barns, ones that generate an ample amount of low-level ambient heat, while posing no risk for a fire, even if they get stepped on.
