I’ve never been 1 to believe the need to tell others how to live their lives. Honestly, I’m just doing the best I can to live mine so it seems a bit disingenuous to recommend to others what they should do. However, there are times when keeping my mouth shut is tough. Watching my associate make a disastrous decision when it came to her HVAC unit is a good example. I got a text after supper from the associate down the street asking for a hand. This is not something this girl does so I knew that she truly could use a hand so I was more than happy to come help. When I got to her site, she was outside & had the cover off the HVAC chaletet. This was the first indication that there was a concern with the HVAC cooling as it was Summer & it wasn’t running. The two of us live in a region where the heat is intense & the heat pump is running pretty much morning & night in order to give HVAC cooling. She asked myself and others to hold the flash light so she could see if she could fix the heat pump. This was the first time that I recommended that she call the HVAC corporation. But that suggestion was politely ignored & I just held the flashlight. It didn’t get better from there. In fact, it just got worse. Finally, she gave up & called the HVAC professionals. But not before she voided the warranty on the HVAC unit by trying to fix it himself.
