When you are in school, the words “Spring break” transfer a lot of excitement and anticipation.
Spring Break is a time for students to cut loose, either at lake apartment or on vacation, and celebration with people their own age; College was a long time ago, however some traditions never die.
Ben, Max, Connie, and I still try to celebrate Spring cut every year. The people I was with and I all live in weird states, so we will find a centralized location where we meet up and spend a few afternoons getting crazy. This year we found a rustic apartment on the banks of a picturesque lake. It was a little too rustic, though, because it did not have an ! When we were young this would have been a problem however now we all had enough currency and credit to just drive to Walmart and buy a little a/c for the weekend. Of course, things couldn’t be that straight-forward, could they? The people I was with and I were all half drunk and totally stoned within seconds of arriving, and decided that driving to get an a/c would be a awful idea. Instead we skulked around the woods, looking at other cabins, and when we found an empty one we snuck in and stole their a/c! It was a window mounted unit, so it took 2 of us to carry it back home. The weekend was a blur, however it was the best kind of blur, and when it was all over we carried the a/c back to its original apartment and hooked it back up.
