I work for a moving and storage company and believe me this is not an easy job.
- But I am so physically fit and have been doing it for years, it became my career.
But just a few months ago I had the biggest challenge I think I ever had in all my years of moving things. We had a commercial heating and air conditioning unit sitting in our warehouse and the owners of it, which were some big business wanted it delivered to their new building. I was thinking this was going to be no different than moving a residential heating and air conditioning unit to a house which we have done many times in the past. But no, this was way different and much harder! First, the dollie that we usually use for the standard heating and air conditioning systems did not work. It was too small! That was issue number one. The next issue was that this commercial heating and air conditioning system weighed like a million tons! At least that’s what it felt like. With me and my work mates being in perfect shape this was still quite the task. We finally were able to get the commercial heating and air conditioning unit on board and get it moved to the business building. But wow, at the end of the day I needed to rest very hard and I actually ended up taking the next 4 days off because I pulled a muscle trying to move this monster. After this incident our company decided to no longer agree to move or store commercial heating and air conditioning units.
