Camping or spending time in a beautiful old lake house is our plan of fun.
My partner & I have been doing this every Summer for years.
At times, in mild climates, the two of us do the same in Winter as well. There’s just something magical about being out in nature. The people I was with and I hope to live for a year in a van & travel the country 1 afternoon. But, for now, the two of us get away whenever possible because of work. I suppose the motive behind our escapes is that the two of us live in 1 of the busiest cities in the world. After some time dealing with traffic, noise, & the general crowding, the two of us want to be somewhere secluded for a few days. The people I was with and I went to this remote location to stay in a lake house the last time. The surroundings were magical, but the two of us had to use the heating plan in the night. The people I was with and I tried to turn on the furnace that first night, but it would not work. This was a surprise because the rental space had assured us the furnace was laboring. The people I was with and I had to contact them & explain that the furnace in the lake house wasn’t laboring. The agent the two of us spoke to was apologetic, & she assured us they would have someone over the next afternoon to sort out the problem. Since the two of us had a lit fire & a portable heating unit, the two of us waited until the following afternoon to have the matter resolved. After numerous adventures, the two of us l earned the importance of having a portable cooling & heating unit. There’s consistently a chance of the component in a lake house or camping part failing.
