Summer air conditioning energy savings tips

I manage a blog that offers tips, common solutions, and other items for first-time homebuyers.

Buying a home for the first time can be an exhilarating process, but it can also be intimidating – since there are so many things to take into consideration, and stay on top of.

We like to make things easy for other people. My most popular blog post for new homeowners is about tips for saving energy with air conditioning and heating systems. Managing your home HVAC system can be intimidating, but this doesn’t have to be the case! If you buy a home in a warm climate, summer can be hard to navigate for your air conditioner unit. One of our number one energy saving tips to save on those costs would be to block morninglight that comes into your home, but even though the morning light is amazing during the summertime, it can certainly heat up the home and cause the a/c unit to overwork, and your a/c unit will thank you if you keep blinds, curtains, and drapes closed during the warmest parts of the morning, however another tip that is certainly useful is to properly disinfect your air filters. If you have pets, you certainly want to be sure you are cleaning your air filters often to disinfect pet hair, clogged air filters can increase your energy bill more than you would think. Pets tend to shed more as the warmer months approach. I also have other blogs about choosing a lake house with a pool, how to find a trusted landscaper, and even how to get along with difficult neighbors!
