Somebody forgot to deposit a huge chunk of money into the account

It really sucks when you run out of money at the bank and you end up with a bounced check.

It must be 10 times as embarrassing when this type of problem happens to a large business.

I went to the bank on Friday after I received my check from the HVAC business where I work. I went right to the bank and gave the cashier my check. Two other employees were standing in line when the lady at the bank informed me that my check could not be cashed. I thought she was joking, but she was absolutely serious. The bank manager came over to talk to me. He informed me that the HVAC business account did not have enough funds to cash the check. He made a telephone call to the owner of the company, but the guy did not answer. He could not cash the check until he heard from the guy. I was pretty angry when I heard the news. So were the other two guys in line behind me. All of us started contacting every single phone number that we had for the HVAC business. We were going to get someone on the phone immediately. The business account holder finally contacted the bank and we found out that a huge chunk of money had not been deposited into the account. It was actually an error on the bank’s part, but they sure didn’t apologize to us for all of the confusion and hassle. I hope they at least apologized to the owner of the HVAC business.
