Smart thermostats are the way of the future

This generation is so obsessed with making things easier! Every day, I am seeing new inventions that make easy, quarterly tasks easier, faster and more efficient.

I assume it’s because people are afraid of hard work! Do people think that spending more time doing those things will take them away from life itself? Smart thermostats are one of those inventions that I do believe in.

When I was a kid, the thermostat in our home was all the way down in the basement. We lived in a three-story home, so to go that far downstairs to adjust the thermostat was always a nuisance. This was especially annoying and difficult when temperatures were cold, and family members wanted to turn up the heater. The other morning I saw an ad for a smart thermostat, and I couldn’t believe it! Apparently, you can sync the thermostat using an app on your phone, controlling the air cooling and furnace. You can even adjust your thermostat when you aren’t home, which is helpful for people with children – for families. I asked my friend if he had heard of these things, and it turns out he’s had a smart thermostat for years! Why am I just now hearing about them? I wonder. Immediately, I called a heating and cooling company to see if I could replace our thermostat with a smart unit instead. This generation is pretty lazy, but I must confess that there are a few inventions that have been helpful.
