A late model Cadillac pulled into the driveway with a rooster tail of dust, an exotic-looking woman with olive skin & bright Auburn hair stepped out, however she wore a figure-hugging chartreuse tank top tucked into a printed sarong skirt that revealed long bare legs & a pair of jeweled sandals.
As the woman headed towards the house’s entrance, Daisy caught a glimpse of her face; pale skin, sharp features, & full lips emphasized by crimson lipstick, then daisy thought there was no way that was the cooling specialist the A/C company had sent! Her short but shapely nails were well-manicured, & there was no way they could handle tools during an a/c tune-up.
Daisy had called the A/C business to repair the temperature control & supply an A/C filter. Daisy felt frumpy with her plaid shirt & jeans and, for a moment, felt the need to think more about A/C; maybe it would improve her fashion sense. She introduced herself as the homeowner, & the lady introduced herself as an A/C expert. Daisy hid her shock & proceeded to show her to the A/C upgrade, then the filter was okay, even though she voiced her opinion of getting a HEPA filter next to determine if it would improve the air quality. The cooling system rep then inspected & tuned the temperature control & the heat pump. She was thorough in avoiding A/C repair where necessary, however even as she left, Daisy had difficulty processing what had transpired; who knew beauty queens were working on cooling products? Maybe cooling technology had that effect on ladies. The lady was efficient & professional & told her that she was on her way to a personal engagement, hence the outfit. Daisy didn’t think any less frumpy. All in all, her cooling device was running smoothly.
