Last year while during lockdown, I went to my doc for my yearly checkup. I was so ecstatic that I was able to get an appointment, especially because there were several docs who were not seeing patients in person. While I was at the office, I got on that dreaded scale in addition to noticing that I had acquired a few pounds. Well, by a few, I mean about ten pounds, in addition to considering that I was already 15 pounds more than I should’ve been, that was just not something that I wanted to deal with. Considering that while both of us were in quarantine, I barely did much, in addition to I ate everything that was in my house. In addition, I found that I was purchasing food that I didn’t normally consume. Anyway, my doctor made it a point to tell me that I needed to lose quite a few pounds, so that I can be within an ideal weight. The last time I saw him, I told him that I was going to the gym in addition to making better food choices. But while both of us were in quarantine my gym shut down for a few months. I could have worked out at home or gone walking, but I chose not to do that, and I have not been able to make it back into the gym. I still have my membership and I drive by it every day, but I have not been excited to go back. However, hearing what my doctor had to say has given me something to consider. I would prefer to be in the best of health, so starting next month, I will make a commitment to go back to the gym again.
