With my wife in on the planning, we put together an awesome 5 day camping trip with all kinds of great hikes in some of the most beautiful scenery I’ve ever seen.
I just don’t get it but I guess that’s really not so unusual. It seems that so much of what is cool today is stuff that I just don’t get. And vice versa. When I was my kids age, I was outside of the air conditioning just as soon as I could be. Coming straight home from school and right to the homework so I could spend the rest of the time messing around outside. My kids just want to stay inside the quality heating and air of the house. I’m thrilled to be able to provide a great place to live and I love the air conditioning as well. Yet, I don’t think just gaming online all the time is either healthy or balanced. So I’m always after my children to get outside the air conditioning. To that end, I’m always trying to drum up interest for camping trip. But I always end up with the same answer that they don’t want to leave home and the air conditioning. Well, this past fall, I simply wasn’t taking no for an answer. With my wife in on the planning, we put together an awesome 5 day camping trip with all kinds of great hikes in some of the most beautiful scenery I’ve ever seen. However, I had to agree to bring along space heaters and we had to camp in a campground with showers and electricity. That seemed like a fair trade to get everyone out of the air conditioning and out in nature. We ended up having a great time and those space heaters were never even touched.
