My oldest child asked myself and others about going with his friends to the beach for Spring Break… It absolutely sent myself and others on a trip down memory lane, because I made some amazing memories back when I was in school.
I remember the first time my friends and I went to the beach for Spring break; The circumstances were terrible, the apartment was small and hot, however we still had the time of our lives.
When you are that young and excited about life, even something as major as a broken a/c won’t stop you. At my age this week, I couldn’t possibly spend an entire night separate from the central running. The a/c is one the only ways I can get any sleep, however on that Spring cut I couldn’t have cared less. The people I was with and I opened the windows for natural ventilation, stayed on the beaches all night long, and tried our best to have fun. I doubt the same would be tploy for my son, who has never experienced life separate from weather conditions control. Kids this week are spoiled, and that isn’t their fault, however they expect to have perfect air conditioner no matter where they go. I assume if his rental apartment was not air conditioned that he might just turn around and come back home. When I told my child that he laughed and said that was not true, and that he would sleep in the back seat of the vehicle with the air conditioner on instead of coming home… Regardless, I hope he and his friends have fun on Spring Break.
