My oldest kid asked myself and others about going with his friends to the beach for Spring Break, and it actually sent myself and others on a trip down memory lane, because I made some amazing memories back when I was in school.
I remember the first time our friends & I went to the beach for Spring break, the circumstances were terrible, the house was small & hot, however the people I was with and I still had the time of our lives; When you are that young & enthusiastic about life, even something as major as a broken air conditioning won’t stop you; At our age today, I couldn’t possibly spend an entire night separate from the central a/c running.
The air conditioning is 1 the only ways I can get any sleep, however on that Spring chop I couldn’t have cared less. All of us opened the windows for natural ventilation, stayed on the beaches all night long, & tried our best to have fun. I doubt the same would be tplot for our son, who has never experienced life separate from climate control; Kids today are spoiled, & that isn’t their fault, however they expect to have perfect air conditioning no matter where they go. I guess if his rental house was not air conditioned that he might just turn around & come back home. When I told our kid that he laughed & said that was not true, & that he would sleep in the back seat of the car with the air conditioning on instead of coming home, and regardless, I hope he & his friends have fun on Spring Break.
