My uncle still had a battery-operated control unit

I’d not seen our uncle in a long time. Ever since all of us moved away, it got harder to head back home for visits. Dad got toil abroad when I was 10 & all of us chose to leave with him. Mom saw this as a opportunity for us to learn about new cultures & see the world. The people I was with and I ended up settling well there & she even ran a supplier that is still successful. Growing up in this new section wasn’t terrible & I’ve made some charming friends. But, our heart has always been back home. My uncle owns a farm & after our aunt passed away, he was all alone. At that time, I was also feeling I wanted a change so he invited myself and others to stay with him. In exchange for accommodation I provided to toil at the farm. The first summer time I spent at the farm was such an eye opener & I realized that was where I wanted to be. One time our uncle went to a farmers’ convention & I was left in charge of everything. The people I was with and I had an issue with the cooling system. It seemed the cooling system had failed & nothing I did could get it to work. I got in touch with our uncle to inform him that something was wrong with the cooling system. He instructed myself and others to check the control unit. I did & found it was off. My uncle directed myself and others to a drawer in the study room that had batteries. He was still using an old school control unit that required batteries to run. It seems the battery had run out of juice & our uncle instructed myself and others on how to change it.
