When I was a mouthy teenager, my parents used to have to get genuinely creative with grounding me to punish me! I believe they knew that I did not genuinely care all that much about the television or the iphone or even staying up late.
I didn’t like my cell iphone or the iPad or going out to parties with my friends, and so as you see, they just didn’t have that much that they could genuinely ground me from.
I believe they knew that there was 1 thing that I genuinely appreciated more than just about anything else, as well as that’s what they finally grounded me from… However, they had gotten me a window unit air conditioner for my birthday multiple years before… Then my dining room was upstairs in the hottest space of the house. I appreciated my a/c more than just about anything; then once my parents figured that out, they decided that they would begin to ground me from the a/c whenever I did something to get into trouble. They only had to do this a couple of times while the two of us were in the Summer as well and then I genuinely cleaned up my act! I wasn’t about to have to live through the hottest space of the Summer separate from my appreciated window unit air conditioner. My parents had a genuinely well behaved child all through the Summer because of their little plan, but as soon as the weather started cooling off, I started to get into a lot of trouble again! I just saved up all of my mischief for the cooler parts of the year.
