As soon as I can move out of my parents’ house, I’m buying a honestly great A/C system! For my entire life,my parents have never had any air conditioning in our house, so my parents typically joke around and say that they don’t know about air conditioning, whatever that means… I have typically told him that that doesn’t make any sense, and you don’t guess or disbelieve in air conditioning; air conditioning is an actual thing that you can see and touch, so you can’t honestly say that you don’t guess it! That’s when they just roll their eyes and say that they don’t guess at having it in their house.
I assume that makes more sense, but it still doesn’t Mean that I assume that they should be this way.
We live in a climate where central air conditioning would make a whole lot of sense to have in your home. The weather gets honestly overheated here during the summer, and not only that, but it is unquestionably muggy and humid; unluckily for all of us who live here, though, they have never had it in the home for as long as we have lived here. My siblings and I used to get so frustrated at our parents during the summer time because all of our friends had central air conditioning in their homes but we did not. We felt like everyone was making fun of us. They absolutely weren’t, but that was not the point. We all wanted air conditioning, but our parents just refused. When I move out of this very home in a few weeks, the first thing I am doing is making sure that the apartment I get has central air conditioning. I will never live without it again.
