Money was tight, however our crew of friends & I still wanted to prefer a great summer time break.
All of us pooled our resources, which were meager, & then used the internet to find a location the people I was with and I could afford.
Instead of going to the beach, the people I was with and I went to the lake. Instead of renting an AirBnB the people I was with and I found a local realtor who represented a series of small cabins in the woods. All of us car-pooled, brought our own discount groceries & beer, & were determined to make the most of our trip. The first concern was that the rental house did not have an air conditioning, which was a concern in this brutal summer time heat & humidity. Since the people I was with and I did not have currency to repair the issue, the people I was with and I resigned ourselves to just trying to have fun despite the heating. My pal Ed said he was going to take a walk & see what he could find, & much to our shock he returned many hours later carrying a small air conditioning. This is 1 the seasoned school type of a/c units that are designed to be secured to a window sill. It was over many years old, easily, however still seemed to be in great shape. Ed explained that he found another cabin, which was unlocked, so he went inside & when he saw it was empty he took their air conditioning. I was anxious about him stealing from the locals, however Ed explained that no 1 was using this a/c component currently, so the people I was with and I could use it for the weekend, then replace it when the people I was with and I left.
