For a long time our energy bills were just too high.
- I instantly was ready to blame our Heating & A/C equipment.
It was old, disfigured & dirty. No wonder our bills were so high. I had a Heating & A/C business over to the condo to do some cleaning, tightening & repairing. There was a small loose area & another 1 that was covered in rust. After the repairs I was ready to experience lower energy bills. Nope, everything stayed the same. I started googling what was the problem. I was closing the curtains in the summer time to avoid the tepid light coming in. In the Wintertide I put towels under the doors to stop air from leaking out. I even caulked around all the windows. So what was the problem? I called our Heating & A/C business back & told him about our energy complications. He instantly knew what was up. The guy inserted a camera into our ductwork to take a peak. He found a really small tear along a seam of our ductwork. That small tear meant all the treated air our Heating & A/C created was leaking outdoors. How the guy performed ductwork sealing was genuinely cool. He took what looked love a squirt gun & shot it into our ductworks. It was air that had sealant particles in it. The sealant can maintenance major holes to minor tears love mine. After messing around with that, he checked the camera again & fixed the tear. I noticed a difference in our energy bills instantly afterwards. It is amazing how much of a change it was.
