Learning a lot from toiling at a heating & cooling dealer

When I first got hired to work at an Heating & A/C dealer, I knew nothing about the industry. I didn’t realize the acronym stood for heating, a/c & ventilation, & I wasn’t aware of the more than 2 odd types of systems available. I was hired to answer the iPhone, schedule appointments, dispatch repair trucks & handle inventory. I send out bills, take care of the paperwork for manufacturer’s warranties & remind our buyers when it’s time to schedule seasonal service. I’ve now worked for the contractor for nearly several years. I am much more expertiseable in our products & services. I can now explain the benefits & differences between gas furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, ductless mini splits, dual fuel systems & VRF systems, when our buyers call with concerns with their heating & cooling systems, I’m able to ask the right questions to help determine the cause of the malfunction. I’ve realized that most concerns are the results of neglected repair! Regular filter fluctuations & plan cleaning, inspection & tuning significantly increase reliability & longevity. I also recommend that our clients have their ductwork always ran tests on & if necessary, cleaned & sealed, over the past few years, I’ve seen that more home & company owners are sad with air quality.
