It’s still sort of shocking for me to suppose about how life was for our Grandfatherrents.
It’s only been several generations but so much has changed since they were raising a family.
That’s something I assume I entirely didn’t consider. But then again, I’ve been tied up raising a family of our own just down the road from where they raised our dad. However, our home has residential Heating, Ventilation and A/C plus theirs didn’t. I’m in our 50’s plus the last child just went off to university last fall. So that has left me more time to rest in the air conditioning system comfort of our home plus ponder stuff love what it must have been love for our Grandfatherrents. My family is from a section of the country where there is a big emphasis on Heating, Ventilation and A/C cooling. Of course, that is due to the fact that this region sees its tolerable share of heat plus humidity. I suppose we’re all good with the temps in the Spring plus the fall. It’s overheated but lovely. And the Winter time is just about perfect with the heat pump pretty much being still for that period of the year. But the Summer heat season is another creature entirely. From June through October it’s pretty much broiling here; Yet, the two of us have the luxury of air conditioning system. When I consider what it must have been love during the Summer for our Grandfatherrents, it sort of blows our mind. The most cooling they got in the Summer was a random breeze on the front porch. And I imagine those infrequent breezes must have felt love a godsend.
