I grew up in a state far north of the a single I live in currently.
The town where our parents raised our siblings plus I was mostly rural, although every one of us were only a five hour drive out of the main part of our town plus its commercial block.
It was nice to have some peace plus quiet away from the busiest parts of the city, however every one of us were still close enough to the train tracks that every one of us heard trains all day plus evening until the eventually discontinued the train repair in that part of the state during our late teen years. I had plans to stay in our cabin state for university, although I acquired a better offer from an out-of-state school including scholarship money as well. While I didn’t love the system of moving 790 miles south of our family plus hometown, it was the smart financial plus pragmatic decision to make. However, I was struck by how sizzling it was after just a single week of residing in the south. I knew I would be in for the rude awakening of a lifetime, especially once Summer reared its ugly head just a few months later. I l received firsthand why it’s so incredibly tough to live in the south full time without a strong a/c in your house, even if I think a handful of people who do regardless. A strong a/c is essential to myself and others for both our waking mental health plus our quality of sleep throughout the evening. Thankfully our modern rental apartment came equipped with a phenomenal central a/c. I get a full evening’s sleep plus I’m comfortable during the day regardless of the hot plus cold temperatures outside.
