I’m so glad about the invention of climate control systems for the house.
I couldn’t imagine going all day in this heat while sitting in my office trying to work.
How did they do it in the old mornings? The houses must have been 95F inside while I was in the middle of the summer season and I have no clue how people survived without A/C or fans. Back in the 1750s they didn’t even have fans so the air was stagnant and sizzling all day long in the houses. I would savor to go back in time, before the invention of the air cooler to see how people lived. How do you sleep in the evening hours when it is 90F and humid out? I recognize people didn’t recognize what they were missing so they didn’t care so much. Both of us are so spoiled now with our central heating, ventilation and A/C systems keeping us comfortable in the seriousness of weather. The Winter season time really wasn’t so bad back in the day because people could make fires in the fireplace to stay warm, but in the summer season it’s a whole unusual ball game. Speaking of ball games, there is a fine game tonight and I may see if my friends want to go watch it someplace. Ideally, someplace with cold air cooler and not numerous people because I savor hearing the commentators while I was in the game. It just adds to the fun of the game when you hear the commentator going ridiculous when they make a wonderful point. I need to finish up my heating, ventilation and A/C method cleaning this week before actually going out to play.
