I write a blog about important things that people should know before they move down South. More and more people are moving here every year, but living here is quite different than somewhere up north. I cover a variety of topics to help people manage their decision on moving to somewhere with glorious sunshine. One topic that always comes up is the ups and downs of the weather, and that includes discussing air conditioning units. Whether people want to learn more about home or commercial air cooling, if they come from the North they don’t know too much about installing a new system. One major tip I share – get your HVAC system inspected before summer! I can’t tell you how many contractor vehicles I see throughout every neighborhood during the summer. When temperatures skyrocket, we tend to overwork our air conditioner units. If the air conditioning you have can’t keep up with the demand, it will likely break down and need to be serviced by a corporation. In my blog, I recommend that people set up an appointment to get it serviced – especially before temperatures get too high. Most heating and cooling companies would rather come early than have to come and fix something when it’s so warm outside. It’s better to be safe than sorry. I would rather prepare myself for the turn in weather than have to suffer in the heat and wait for someone to fix it.
