Traditionally, our Winter time prep has constantly concluded with the HVAC professional coming out to do the heating repair on the gas oil furnace
I care about to make our husband happy. She has been such an awesome partner for all these years that there’s not much I wouldn’t do for her. So when he started talking a bit about having more a/c in the house, I was listening. We live way, way up north and a/c is entirely the least of our HVAC worries. For years, I’ve constantly thrown in a window air conditioner in our living room as our husband likes to have a cool arena to lie down during the day. But the window a/c just wasn’t getting it done any longer and so it was time to update. The HVAC supplier was great with adding the central a/c to the house. We have a gas oil furnace so all the air duct was already in site. The HVAC company was able to get the central a/c going in one day. I have to say that I’m sure surprised how much I’m loving the central a/c. It’s August but our Winter time preparations are in full swing. We have a wood stove that acts as both supplemental HVAC plus an emergency heating source. So there is plenty of wood to cut, split and stack for the winter. And coming inside to the this perfect HVAC cooling sure does help and old body reclaim a bit quicker. Traditionally, our Winter time prep has constantly concluded with the HVAC professional coming out to do the heating repair on the gas oil furnace. But this year, I’ll cap the Winter time prep by putting a hard plastic cover over the HVAC cupboard outside the condo that provides the a/c. This keeps the weight of the snow and ice off the delicate a/c parts.
