Before he retired, my Mom worked as a Foreman for a local construction supplier, however as a Foreman, he knew how to do a little bit of everything… I guess being in construction and seeing the different jobs being done around him, he picked up some of the tricks of the trade along the way, this came in handy especially in our home! My Mom didn’t need to call that many people to perform repair on our appliances because he could figure out how to repair them on his own, then same thing for remodeling, and he once changed out our entire kitchen cabinets by himself, and he remodeled his master lavatory with easily little help. So knowing this about my Mom, I was shocked when he told myself and others that he called a plumber to change the sink in his lavatory because it had a leak. Apparently, he could not figure out how to detach the sink himself because of a part that he couldn’t detach. Therefore, he needed the help of a plumber! Good thing, he didn’t have to call a random plumbing service, the plumber that he called was his longtime neighbor that worked on one of his construction sites. They worked together and they were able to detach the lavatory sink; Being a Foreman for so many years easily has its advantages. If you own a home, you will need some kind of repair done. It’s fantastic that my Mom knew how to repair so many things, however it’s even better that he knew a plumber that he could call when he needed one.
