I am a huge fan of ice cream, and so is my boyfriend.
The two of us have visited quite a few different ice cream shops in our town, but our favorite has to be this one by the beach.
I’m not sure if it’s because we are coming straight out of the hot summer beach; by the time we reach it, this shop always hits the spot. One of the best things about this ice cream shop is walking into refreshingly chilled air conditioning. One of the reasons you might have ice cream is because you want to cool off, so walking into a cool store is quite the treat; the last time we went there, I spoke to the employees about how cold it gets in there, and they said the amount of money the owners spend money to pay for the air conditioning is insane! They shared a couple of energy saving tips they rely on to help them lower the costs during the summer, when it’s especially cold. One of their best energy saving tips was to properly disinfect the air filters. Because they are in a business neighborhood, with lots of foot traffic, the air filters fill up a lot more hastily than an average home filter would. Because of this, during the busy summer months, they change their filters once every few weeks. This caused me to start thinking about my own home cleanliness practices, so my boyfriend and I adopted this tip to make sure our systems are enjoyable, too!
