Recently when I was talking with my friends about getting a new HVAC, I asked everybody if they ever tried installing their own HVAC.
My one friend said that he heard ductless mini splits could be installed by a homeowner, but he was pretty sure all the other HVAC systems had to be handled by the professionals. I didn’t know anything about ductless mini splits, but my buddy said something about them being ductless HVAC systems. That sounded very interesting to me. That’s when I asked everybody if they wanted to head down to the library to see if we could find any books about installing an HVAC system like this. I have found all kinds of DIY books at the library, so I was thinking there had to be a book that explained exactly how to install something as advanced as a ductless HVAC. Unfortunately, only one friend came along with me, and that was Tony. I was happy when we got to the library because the temperature control settings were amazing. I told my buddy that it was worth it being there just for the excellent comfort, and my buddy agreed with me on that point. He went looking for a different genre of books, mainly the sci-fi section because that’s what interests him. I actually found not one, but four books about ductless mini split installations. We stayed at the library for a long time just reading while enjoying the comfort from the cooling system. I finished two of the books, but I still checked out all four. I needed them to study for a bit longer before I decided if I could install my own HVAC.
