I have always wanted heated flooring in my house.
The only cons to this heating proposal is that it adds height and weight to the floor.
Additionally you need to rip up your seasoned floors in order to do the heating replacement. I have always had it in the back of my mind that I am going to rip up the seasoned carpets and put down tile. I have just been waiting for the opportune moment. Well recently my fiance and I went on a trip together. I rented a little cottage out in the middle of nowhere. They had a fireplace and heated flooring. I was so gleeful to try heated flooring for the first time in my life. I turned on the thermostat and was expecting to assume instant warmth. I felt nothing. They say the proposal is silent and I realized how unnerving that is. I couldn’t tell if it was on or off. I waited around all day to assume the heating proposal and felt nothing, but during our trip the two of us would be in and out of the cottage. The people I was with and I kept the heated flooring running always. There were a few spots in the cottage where I could assume warm patches. My fiance is convinced that heated flooring is just easily weak. I assume that the cottage owner put down carpets which make it harder to assume radiant floors. I also think the proposal might have been easily old. I am not totally against adding radiant heating in my condo yet. I will confess I will want to test out more radiant heated homes before buying it for mine. I am not impressed so far.
