Living near the beach has its advantages. I have constantly been in love with the ocean, & now I am just a quick 5 minute drive away from it! I rarely go into the water, I just prefer resting on the sand & listening to the crash of the waves. All of us have an abundance of fresh seafood in this town, something I avail myself of on a regular basis. On the other hand, there are a couple of downsides to living here as well. The ocean regulates the temperatures all year around, so they remain moderate, however the humidity levels are off the charts! I have a dehumidifier in our front room, another 1 in the den, & a third 1 in our upstairs family room. Even though most Heating & A/C systems have a dehumidifier built into them, it simply isn’tenough to meet our needs. Not to mention the fact that I rarely needed air conditioning at all, the concern was just with the high levels of moisture in the air. Usually I have the a/c off, however keep all the fans in the proposal turned on, just for respected air circulation. That combined with our many dehumidifiers have made a important difference in our home, & made it a little easier to breathe. I constantly make sure to check & empty the water traps in our dehumidifiers every single afternoon. That is how hastily they fill up! Buying many dehumidifiers was not cheap, however in the long run it will save myself and others a lot of currency by protecting our house from becoming damp & moist.
