Helping a writer with HVAC research

I told his that residential air ducts are far too small for even the smallest child

One of the local celebrities the people I was with and I have here in city is a crime fiction writer of some renown. She has written twenty multiple unusual crime novels over the last thirty years, plus while he is not exactly a NY Times bestseller, he is a pretty large deal in our small town! She called the owner of our supplier recently with an unproper request – he wanted to go on a ridealong with 1 of our HVAC tech. The boss chose me, which was particularly exciting because I had study all of his novels! She was a particularly nice, quiet older guy, who had a notebook plus a little pencil he used for taking notes while the people I was with and I discussed various aspects of air duct plus HVAC systems. I managed to get his to tell me that the villain in his newest book was an HVAC tech plus used that as a way to sneak into people’s houses. She took a lot of notes about the residential A/C systems I showed her, even though he wasn’t satisfied. These air ducts plus vents were too small, he said, his character could fit cameras in there, however couldn’t crawl around. I told his that residential air ducts are far too small for even the smallest child. For a grown guy to transport around air air duct it would need to be a major commercial facility, plus really 1 from a few years ago. As HVAC tech improves, everything gets smaller, so a killer lurking in the air ducts is an increasingly impossible idea. I hope he names the killer after me!
