Mark wasn’t sure how to respond when his Grandfather shared the news.

It was regularly the duty of the next generation to modernize the space and keep it going. Some preferred to keep the lodge private and only accessible to family. However, Mark’s Grandfather chose to rent it out and only save it for the family while in certain dates in Summer and winter. Mark wasn’t sure if he could take over the responsibility for the lodge. But, he also knew better than to say no to his Grandfather. They went up to see the lodge when Mark wasn’t at labor to see what needed to be upgraded. Mark and his Grandfather spent 2 nights at the lodge and noticed the heating method was faulty. Though the lodge was moderate enough to keep them comfortable, it still left a lot to be desired. His Grandfather explained that the heating method was outdated and would legitimately need a replacement. Mark checked it however he knew better than to try and repair the heating system. Such tasks are best left to the professionals who understand how heating and cooling systems function. If Mark was going to maintain the space as a rental lodge, he had to make some upgrades. His Grandfather had currency set aside for the heating method replacement. He also commanded they replace the roof and a few other features. This is a popular place and worth the investment so Mark had no issue taking it over.
