Dad was quite adamant about changing the air conditioner

Leaving home had been hard for me, but my dad wasn’t about to let me give up on my dreams.

I was young, but he always told me I could do anything that I set my mind to do.

As a young girl, my mom left, and it was just the two of us for a long time. We grew accustomed to being one another’s rock. I was happy when my step-mother came along, but not too sure about moving out at 19. Still, I knew it was the best thing to do if my business was going to grow. I moved to a city, joined a local college for a business degree, and continued to work for the company. The house that I bought was quite old and not in the best neighborhoods. But, it was all that I could afford at the time, given the costly real estate market at the time. I wasn’t happy with the air conditioner in the house, which kept failing and making the house uncomfortable. I spoke to my dad about it, and he was adamant about changing the air conditioner and saving me the extra cost. He was a retired AC specialist, so I was confident he knew what he was doing. It took him a few days to come over, measure the size of the house, and purchase the best air conditioner. After that, he got rid of the old one, did some duct cleaning, and installed the new air conditioner into my home. I’ve never been so happy to have an AC professional in the family since it cost me nearly half for the whole process.
