Tried vacuuming own ducts

I am a tscheme believer that most people can accomplish any job if they put their minds to it.

  • I don’t feel that anyone is more qualified than anyone else, so long as acceptable instruction is provided with explicit safety standards.

That’s why I refuse to pay for a professional to come and take care of my home’s Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system. I am convinced that i can do the job just as good as they can, assuming I have my iPad right next to me. That way I can stream YouTube tutorials on any topic as I attempt to diagnose and service my heating and cooling system. So far I’ve had good fortune with this DIY ventilation service and repair, but there’s always another job that needs to be accomplished. That means there are always more educational videos for me to watch, and new air temperature control mechanic skills to acquire. I’ve done well performing routine diagnostics, replacing the ancient HEPA air filters, and oiling up some sticky moving parts, however after that, my most recent project was to examine the air ducts that run through the entire house. I read that having dirty or detrimentd air duct can greatly affect the efficacy of your house Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system. After that, I decided I would climb up and clean the ducts out all on my own, using our normal vacuum cleaner, but well, that project sure didn’t go as smooth as possible. Long story short, I’ve recently had to hire a professional ventilation expert to reinstall a part of air duct and a local vacuum repairman to boot.
