Sometimes I really think that I should have gone into the HVAC business instead of going to college.
I don’t think that many people think that kind of thing would be a good idea, but I’m not like most people.
I have always really liked working on things with my hands. That goes for furnaces, air conditioning systems, cars, plumbing, or anything else. You name it, I like to work on it. The first thing that I ever fixed for money was when I fixed my aunt’s grandfather clock for her. I am just very mechanically minded, I guess you could say. I understand how things work and I somehow know what to do whenever something is torn up. I guess it’s just a gift that I have. Somehow though, I ended up going to school to do something completely different. I wanted to become an HVAC technician and somehow, now I’m working in an investment firm! It’s the last thing that I wanted to become, honestly. It’s funny how things like that work, though. I found out that it wasn’t what I really wanted to do just a little too late. The fact that I now have a ton of college debt racked up really makes me mad because I know that I could have gone to school to get my HVAC certification instead and I wouldn’t have any debt at all. Also, I really think that I would have been a lot happier if I were an HVAC technician now instead of an investment broker. My job is just too stressful and I hate it.
