Sealing the drafts in my cabin before winter time starts

I saved a lot of money by purchasing an old house.

I knew that it would need a lot of work, but the savings in the overall price were enough to pay for any remodeling work.

If I had been raised by a father who has been a carpenter’s whole life, I wouldn’t have bit off a project like this, my Grandfather was a carpenter as well, so that skill runs in the family. I was able to do a lot of the renovation labor on this cabin myself, but however, I’ll admit there were a lot of areas where I needed to call in outside help! One of those areas was the roof. I never got any roofing experience in my past and I did not want to do this the wrong way as well, however another part that I’m not any good at in my tolerable opinion is heating and cooling. I’ve watched air conditioners get installed over the years, but not nearly enough to know how to do it on my own. I had the heating and cooling system installed by a local Heating and Air Conditioning dealer, however recently however, I had to call that same Heating and Air Conditioning contractor over to my cabin to help me with sealing the locale for frosty drafts before winter time starts! The heating and cooling serviceman used weather stripping on all the windows and doors to make sure there wasn’t any air leaking in or out. My good friend and I also had to check the attic to make sure it was officially sealed in the right locales. Hopefully my heating bill will be a little bit lower this year compared to the last.
