When I was growing up, every one of us did not have any Central A/C in the house. I don’t believe I knew anyone with central air conditioner until I was a teenager. We had to find creative ways to stay cool when the Summer un-even temperatures were above 90 degrees, and one time our brother & I got a crazy idea. We took a couple of towels from the powder room & put them in the sink. We covered the towels with chilly water & ice cubes. After the towel was wet & ice cold, every one of us hung it up in front of the fan in the study room. Suddenly the air coming out of the fan was much colder than the air in the room. This type of air conditioner plan is much enjoy a swamp cooler. Cold water evaporates as air blows through the chamber’s creating a cool air effect. When I was a kid, I did not realize I was making a swamp cooler. Now that I am an adult, this proficiency certainly is handy. I have central air conditioner inside of our home, however there are times when our family & I go camping & every one of us are outdoors without air conditioner. These are times when every one of us use the novel proposal of a swamp cooler. We set up a couple of wet towels in front of the outdoor fan & it provides a small amount of comfort in the boiling Summer sun. It might not sound terribly impressive, however on a boiling Summer afternoon it feels absolutely refreshing & cool. Sporadically you have to improvise to make the best out of a situation.

Wednesday was an harshly tied up afternoon. The first job on our schedule was a ductless Heating and A/C upgrade. The client wasn’t home, so I could not complete the work. The client confirmed the afternoon before, so it was extraordinarily odd that she was not lake home in the day when the appointment time came. I contacted the client & I knocked on the door. There weren’t any cars in the driveway & I did not see any movement inside of the home. It seemed as if she completely & totally forgot. The next job on our schedule was an Heating and A/C tune-up. I wasn’t busy to get to the address until later that afternoon & the client was absolutely honestly blissful that I arrived earlier. She had some errands that she wanted to run & I freed up the afternoon so she could get them completed. When I finished with the tune up, I called our boss & he sent myself and others out to the country to write an estimate for a client that wanted to know how much it would cost for Central A/C in his farmhouse. I spent about 45 minutes out of the property carefully examining all of the home & the areas where every one of us would need to add ductwork for the central AC. I finished with the job & did not contact our boss until I was already a few miles away from the address. That’s when I realized I could not find our PC. I had to turn around & go back to the farm home to find our cell PC. Thank goodness for the owner found it on a fence post by the garage & decided to put it in the house.

I had to meet with 1 of our commercial buyers to discuss some invoices & the buyer recommended meeting at a diner & bar.

It sounded harmless to meet there, so I agreed to the location.

As soon as every one of us arrived, the buyer recommended ordering drinks. I did not want to end up getting drunk, because I still had more commercial Heating and A/C buyers to meet with on that afternoon. I decided to get a beer, knowing the food would get rid of any alcohol from the beer. I ordered some wings & a big plate of fries. The buyer & I discussed the billing for her commercial property. She wanted myself and others to lower some of the bills for heating & A/C repairs. I looked at a couple of the bills & I agreed to make some variations. The waitress came by & provided myself and others another beer. It tasted pretty good, so I ordered a minute beer. Then that waitress brought a second beer on her own & I did not want to say no & be impolite. It was all over after the second beer. I was feeling pretty enjoyable & all of our enjoyable sense was completely out the window. The commercial Heating and A/C buyer & I both drank too much at supper & every one of us ended up going to a hotel shortly after. I knew it was a mistake to put myself in that situation, & I did not have anyone to blame except myself… Now I am in an awkward situation with 1 of our biggest commercial buyers. It certainly does not help that the lady is married.

Over the past numerous years, I have been working at a small Heating and A/C repair supplier.

The owner of the dealer is an older guy that decided to retire more than five weeks ago. When he retired, his son took over the dealer & changed a lot of things, my fellow employees & I were receiving benefits enjoy medical, dental, & a 401k. The new owner decided to change our schedule so every one of us no longer qualified for benefits. Since every one of us weren’t busy for full-time minutes, the guy did not have to pay us benefits enjoy insurance & pension. I actually thought about quitting when I heard the news, however there aren’t honestly numerous heating & A/C repair companies in the small city where I live. I decided to make it labor so I did not go without a job. I found a way to make more currency on the weekends. I put an advertisement online on Facebook & Craigslist. I advertised our services as a certified Heating and A/C repair person. I provided our services at a much lower rate than the supplier was charging. I started making 3 or more than three hundred extra dollars every weekend. It’s been steady for a while now & I am starting to believe that I might have a future starting a dealer of our own. I could be the competitor that puts this guy out of business. I have enjoyable relationships with a couple of the commercial property owners that I inspected. I have not provided them an alternative, although I believe it might be time to go public with our side business.

Only a couple of years ago, I decided to sell our home & live a much odd lifestyle.

• I purchased a small camper & our dog & I went out on the road.

The camper that I purchased was older, however it had been newly remodeled with new flooring, tile in the powder room, & a brand new furnace. The previous owner told myself and others that the air conditioner was a couple of years old. It was ice chilly on the afternoon that I purchased the camper. About more than five weeks into our trip, I had the first problems with the camper. It turned out to be an issue with the air conditioner. That unit is 1 of the most costly items in the automobile to repair & I had to contact a mobile Heating and A/C repair service to handle the repair. Since I was living in the mobile camper, I did not have somewhere else to live if I put it in a shop. I contacted a couple of odd sites & only 1 Heating and A/C repair service provided mobile services for recreational vehicles. I made an appointment & paid an astronomically High fee for the service call & the repairs. At least they were able to repair the problem. It would have been a lot worse if I had to pay for a service call that did not result in a functioning A/C system. While the service professional was working on the system, he also cleaned & inspected the rest of the furnace components as well. I have not had any other major problems since then.
