Nagging husband like mother

You know what is definitively un-sexy? Feeling like your significant other’s parent… Ugh.

  • Instead of feeling like an equal partner with a mutual understanding of how adult life works, I often feel like I run the show around here for both of us.

Rather than putting on lacy underwear to thrill him, I’m picking his piles of dirty boxers up off the powder room floor. Instead of having candlelit dinners, I’m scraping the burnt messes that he leaves behind off our cookware. Rather than reminding him of our fun couples activity later than evening, I’m chasing him out the door to hand him office keys and his purse. It’s too much. Don’t even get me started on home chores, because he only has one, and he doesn’t do it. That single chore is to take care of the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C system for our home. All he’s supposed to do is to change the air filter every two months and schedule two routine Heating, Ventilation plus A/C inspections from a professional ventilation expert each year. I also asked that he would keep an eye on the weekly energy expenditure, and assist me with programming the smart thermostat to optimize our energy usage. Now, instead of being less busy out because he’s lending a helping hand with the temperature control plan, I’m more miserable than ever about nagging him to get it done. Every afternoon I send him a email about the completely blocked air filter in the AC. Once a week I ask if the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C dealership is coming to disinfect our air ducts. Once a month, I put the energy bill on his desk with my notes about our utility bills and thermostat program. I feel like an overbearing mother, despite the fact that I can’t stop! I mean, basic heating and cooling maintenance absolutely doesn’t sound like rocket calculus to me.

Now, instead of being less stressed out because he’s lending a helping hand with the temperature control plan, I’m more aggravated than ever about nagging him to get it done. Every afternoon I send him a SMS about the completely plugged air filter in the AC. Once a week I ask if the Heating & Air Conditioning dealership is coming to scrub our HVAC ducts. Old contractor struggles to keep up with competition – free AC

It really is a shame to watch someone struggle and feel powerless to help their situation.

I don’t know if there’s anything more heart wrenching on earth than seeing another woman suffer without any useful suggestions for resolution.

It makes you feel small and useless, like you don’t matter at all. That is exactly how I’ve been feeling for about six months now, seeing my neighbor and designated Heating & Air Conditioning expert struggling to keep her heating and cooling company above ground. You see, since moving into town over 15 years ago, I struck up a fast friendship with our closest neighbor the first time that our A/C unit failed. I called the local Heating & Air Conditioning dealership, and when the ventilation expert arrived, I was surprised to be introduced as her neighbor. She patched up our cooling system in a jif, and left without accepting any payment. Since that afternoon, I have been her loyal client and closest confidante in town. She tells me everything, including her perilous company standing as she tries to compete with the newest Heating & Air Conditioning shop in town. See, these young women rolled into our quiet city about a year ago, and started trying to shake up the ventilation industry. They began offering deranged deals on current heating and cooling equipment, reduced Heating & Air Conditioning maintenance plans, and free unit replacements in order to drum up business. Well, it began working. My neighbor has lost over half of her proper heating and cooling customers, and she doesn’t know what to do. Short of giving away free supplies and services to receive back customers, he’s feeling doomed to go bankrupt. That’s why I really can’t tell him about my brand current dehumidifying system and maintenance plan, with free replacement.

Air dehumidifier for humid months

In the past year I relocated from my house state to a entirely odd region of the country. I have to say, I’ve been less traumatized by the move than I expected, although I’m not adapting as well as I could have. So far I haven’t made any new friends and I’m pretty scared to drive into the neighborhood alone because of all the maniac drivers out there. But I have found a few locations where I feel safe and comfortable, and I appreciate visiting those attractions as often as I can. So all in all, I’m doing okay with the sizable move. One of the things I haven’t grown accustomed to yet is the crazy heat and humidity in these parts. While I was used to a brutal winter time that lasted from September through April, around here it starts to heat up again in February! Within a few weeks it is entirely hot and sticky outside, and everything feels miserable unless you’re basking in abundant a/c every waking moment. I cherish the afternoons when it’s comfortable enough to open our windows and doors for natural ventilation and to air out the house, but I’ve realized that even on the cooler afternoons around here, the humidity is still off the charts. The moisture from the air seems to seep into every soft surface of our house and leaves a lingering wet smell throughout the whole site. I feel this year my friend and I would be wise to invest in a new dehumidifying component to save ourselves and our a/c a little hassle when the heat and humidity start to settle in again.

Tried vacuuming own ducts

I am a tscheme believer that most people can accomplish any job if they put their minds to it.

  • I don’t feel that anyone is more qualified than anyone else, so long as acceptable instruction is provided with explicit safety standards.

That’s why I refuse to pay for a professional to come and take care of my home’s Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system. I am convinced that i can do the job just as good as they can, assuming I have my iPad right next to me. That way I can stream YouTube tutorials on any topic as I attempt to diagnose and service my heating and cooling system. So far I’ve had good fortune with this DIY ventilation service and repair, but there’s always another job that needs to be accomplished. That means there are always more educational videos for me to watch, and new air temperature control mechanic skills to acquire. I’ve done well performing routine diagnostics, replacing the ancient HEPA air filters, and oiling up some sticky moving parts, however after that, my most recent project was to examine the air ducts that run through the entire house. I read that having dirty or detrimentd air duct can greatly affect the efficacy of your house Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system. After that, I decided I would climb up and clean the ducts out all on my own, using our normal vacuum cleaner, but well, that project sure didn’t go as smooth as possible. Long story short, I’ve recently had to hire a professional ventilation expert to reinstall a part of air duct and a local vacuum repairman to boot.
