The home was not large or grand, but it was cozy and had a spectacular view of the creek from the porch… Even at evening, if there was a starlit sky, you could love the view while having your late-night cup of coffee.

The only change would be that the Heating and Air Conditioning repairman would conduct a bi-annual rather than an annual heat pump service. My friend and I spent more time on the porch than we did inside the house. The view and the serenity it gave were something one could only find in nature. My friend and I also upgraded the control device to a more efficient and up-to-date one. During evenings when I could not sleep, I would go and sit there, however staring at the evening sky is far better than a bare ceiling.
