Our front porch pushed us to upgrade to a quality HVAC system

The house was not big or grand, but it was cozy and had a spectacular view of the creek from the porch.

Even at night, if there was a starlit sky, you could enjoy the view while having your late-night cup of coffee. The only downside was that it got chilly in the evening and at night. We screened the porch to keep out the bugs, but that did not solve the temperature situation. The house had a furnace as the home’s central HVAC unit. We still needed a good solution after consulting with the local business. The HVAC provider suggested getting a ductless heat pump since the furnace was already thirteen years old. We were spoiled for choice when it came to HVAC brands. The HVAC installation would help with indoor comfort as well as the porch. According to the quotation by the HVAC business, the quality HVAC system would cost a chunk of money, but we took it as a necessary update. Once the HVAC professional installed the equipment, we would continue our usual routine with the HVAC maintenance and replacing the air filters. The only change would be that the HVAC repairman would conduct a bi-annual rather than an annual heat pump service. We spent more time on the porch than we did inside the house. The view and the serenity it provided were something one could only find in nature. We also upgraded the thermostat to a more efficient and modern one. During nights when I could not sleep, I would go and sit there. Staring at the night sky is far better than a bare ceiling.
