My friend Cathy had a dinner party at her house last week, but it was way too hot in her house for everyone. I think that Cathy was just confused about the fact that whenever you have a big group of people in your house, you need to lower the thermostat settings. Cathy has never had a dinner party before as far as I know. Unlike me, she is not someone who entertains on a regular basis. I don’t even know why she decided to do it this time but I think that she was just trying to do something nice for her group of friends. I probably should have warned her about the fact that she needed to turn the temperature down on her thermostat before everyone got there. I learned that the hard way over years and years of entertaining people at our house. Even when the weather is really cold outside, you never really have to have your heating system turned up when you’re going to have a big group of people in your house. That’s because all the body heat that gets generated from your guests really starts heating up your house more than you would think! The dinner party that Cathy had was really uncomfortable because of the temperature inside of the house. I felt bad about it for her, but I guess she is going to have to learn the same way that I did. Having lots of people over means that you are going to have to adjust the temperature in your home to account for that.
