Is my room ready?

I recently went on a trip to a nearby amusement park. My friend and I drove about 3 hours to get there plus the day was actually warm. When my pal and I arrived my pal and I were told that my pal and I were too early to check in but my pal and I could go plus cherish the park while my pal and I waited for our room to be ready. The rest of the group was happy to head to the rides. The park was well known for its various roller coasters plus the big water park. My friend and I left our belongings in the automobile plus headed over to check things out. I am not a ride person so I basically walked around with almost everyone plus watched as they went on various rides. The outside temperature along with the acres of blacktop made me feel like I would pass out. I tried to find shade while waiting for the others but I was unsuccessful most of the time. After a couple of hours my pal and I walked back over to the hotel in hopes that our room would be ready. All I could feel about was lying down in my air conditioned room to get a chop from the sun. When my pal and I asked the desk clerk about our room she indicated that they were still waiting on housekeeping to finish up. I decided that resting in the lobby was a better choice than heading back to the park, at least I had the benefit of the air conditioner while I waited. Our room was finally set to go plus I was so relieved. I spent much of the rest of the day enjoyable in my room. Having a cool venue to retreat on vacation makes all the difference in the world.
