I observed that outside of an apartment building in my area, there was a line of central cooling units.
This was interesting, because in my experience, most apartments have some kind of wall mounted A/C, or window air conditioner.
There are some apartments that have central cooling, however these are usually the better apartments. But I have never seen what apartments look like with central Heating and Air Conditioning. When an apartment complex has window A/C, you can tell, because they stick out like a sore thumb. The thing is, central heating and cooling isn’t much different. When you look at the apartments, seeing the central heating and A/C devices is quite apparent, because they seem to have them in a line in the back. They are kept in the back area to avoid making them too apparent, however it is still noticeable to anyone passing by. I don’t think I’d like that legitimately much if I lived in an apartment. I feel it takes away from the building’s beauty. But I don’t have to worry about that, since I live in a lake house. I also have a central A/C device. Since it is behind a bush, you can’t tell it’s there. Which is the way I like it, my lake house looks nicer because of it. Really the only time you can tell it’s there is when it turns on, because it can be quite loud. I am working on getting a silent A/C unit one afternoon however it will be in the future.
