My buddy Sandy is honestly a neat freak… She has always been precisely like this ever since I met her in university.
She was my roommate and I had to have everything clean and in its locale or she would always be uncomfortable in our room.
If I chose to have a bowl of cereal, I couldn’t just leave it on my desk until I was ready to clean it. She insisted that I cleaned the bowl as soon as I was done with it. Of course, this drove me nuts, however eventually, I grew to accept her insane obsession! Now that my associate and I are adults, nothing has changed and while I love her, I am blissful that I don’t have to share the same space with her. Her spouse can’t stand and eat on the sofa if he wanted to. Instead, he has to stand at the study room table or go to his personal cave. I believe if he didn’t have his personal cave, Sandy would totally drive him up the wall… Anyway, Sandy was telling me that she gets her cooling machine ducts cleaned once per year. And when she told me this, I was really shocked because I have never gotten my cooling machine ducts cleaned. I decided not to share that information with her because the last thing I wanted was a lecture about the importance of cleaning my cooling system ducts. And from what I know at the moment, it is not necessary to clean the cooling machine ducts unless there is excess buildup of debris or mold. And I can’t imagine that Sandy’s residence has any of that in it. If she wants to spend her money cleaning her cooling machine ducts, then my associate and I am ok with that as long as it brings her the peace of mind she needs.
