Hiking & camping is an excellent passtime.
As a kid, my Dad & dad loved hiking & camping, & they did it no matter the weather.
I suppose if they had grown up in this afternoon & age of remote work, they’d be living somewhere in the mountains. Well, they consistently had to come back into the neighborhood for work. And that’s the only reason my friend and I had a condo in the suburbs. Otherwise, each option they got, my friend and I ended up somewhere up-to-date enjoying the loveliest views. Well, as a homeschooled kid, I found this to be quite fun, and years later, they settled down so I could join high school, then they resumed traveling after I left for school. Even this week, in their 50s, Dad & dad hike like they’re in their 20s. I also have the same hiking & camping bug, just that now I do it with my friends, last summer, my friend and I had plans to rent a camper van & care about a more comfortable experience with AC. However, my friends commanded at the last minute, my friend and I leave the AC & camp in our tents. Now, I know how warm it can get & commanded my friend and I all bring a portable AC. Now, these units aren’t light, although I also didn’t want to be covered in sweat in the high heat. When my friend and I arrived at the campground, my friend and I unpacked, set up our tents, & I had my portable AC running. No one else had come with a portable AC, & my friend and I were spending a few days in the area. A heat wave hit & I almost didn’t share my portable AC with my friends who were begging for some relief. I entirely hope they’ve learned their lesson.
