A few weeks ago, I searched on the internet the cost of replacing an HVAC unit.
Recently, my component was still working, however it has lost some efficiency and it’s costing more money to keep my apartment comfortable. In addition, I have had a few complications with it where I have had to call my HVAC worker to repair it. So, just out of curiosity, I wanted an idea of what HVAC units are selling for today, so when I decide to upgrade it I can budget accordingly. I have never bought a new HVAC unit, so this is new territory for me. I estimated that it would be around $3,000, which is a lot of money to spend on something that I haven’t fully planned for. And though I am not getting the component right now, I am doing the research so when it comes time I will know what choice I need to make. Well, after I searched the internet, I discovered that depending on the size of the HVAC component that I need it can cost between $3,000 and $8,000. And that does not include labor which would be around $95 per hour, and it takes between 4 and 8 hours to install an HVAC unit. The wonderful news is, if the HVAC duct doesn’t need to be upgraded after that I wouldn’t need to worry about that cost, which could add another $3,500 to $6,500 to the price of the new HVAC unit. So, when it comes time for me to upgrade my HVAC unit, I think that my budget should be between $4,300 and $6,300, based on the information I found on the internet.
