So I’ve run out of time when it comes to any further consideration when it comes to replacing the heat pump, then well, lets be a bit more real in that description! I’ve procrastinated as far as I can when it comes to replacing the residential Heating and A/C and now, I have to make a decision, but making decisions like these are not at all straight-forward for me! This is why I would like to have a partner who could help me with these sorts of homeowner scenarios… But I’m a bachelor and the prospects of me having a partner are dwindling to be sure; Yet, you never know just what can happen.
Of course, that’s completely beside the point; See, this is how I end up off topic and conveniently not addressing the heating and cooling equipment. I noticed last Summer that the heat pump was having to work a whole lot harder when it came to the a/c demand. I double diagnosed the digital temperature control to be sure I had not programmed it inrespectfully. But that wasn’t the problem. My hunch that the heat pump was running far more than it should have was evidenced by the utility bill. There was certainly a spike when it came to the a/c costs late last Summer. so I chose to get the heating maintenance done by the Heating and A/C professional early this Fall. The Heating and A/C professional confirmed that my heat pump was nearing the end of its life. I spent all winter time trying to decide whether to replace the heat pump or to try to make it through another year of a/c, and now I’ve come to the point where it’s almost the first week of March and I have to do something now or I have to wait till next year.
