Long trips are difficult

I’ve never traveled so much in my life as I have with my new guy, however before, I was never able to afford the high cost of gas cash and hotels on my own, so I didn’t get to see much of the world, but these afternoons the situation has changed.

  • Because he’s a professional musician and teacher, my guy gets to travel often for work in order to attend conferences and supply clinics on his field of knowledge! Since the cost of driving is covered by his paycheck, I get to ride along and see more of this country than I ever have before! My buddy and I cherish our long road trips together and my friend and I have a normal set of traditions to get through the drive, including sour candies and funny podcasts, then the only thing my friend and I haven’t genuinely figured out yet is how to find a good compromise on the car’s interior air temperature while we’re on the road.

See, my guy is constantly pretty warm, and he wants to have the a/c running at a mediocre level in order to cool himself down… I, on the other hand, tend to run cold. I also totally do not care for the feeling of frosty air passing over my bare skin, so the a/c pouring out of the vents and directly onto my body is pretty unsettling for me. I try to keep moderate with sweatshirts and blankets, using the layers to protect my skin from the cool A/C flowing towards me, but after that I encounter a new problem; I’m too hot from the moderate daylight streaming in through the window! I feel like I’m going through menopause.
